    • Should a scientist lead Harvard? Answer this online poll

      Tuesday, 16 Jan 2007 - 17:56 UTC

Anticipation of the announcement of the new Harvard president is rising now with news stories about the presidency coming out weekly, almost daily.

The latest one, from today, asks the question of whether Harvard should have a scientist as its leader, given how much the university will be expanding science in Allston. Some say Harvard needs a scientist to understand this vision for science while others say having a scientist-president might be seen as self-serving.

What do you think? Click here to go to an informal web poll I’ve set up. Pick an answer to see the results. I’ll mention the results in a blog post in a week or two.
