    • For sci-fi lovers: science on the screen back again at the Coolidge Corner theater

      Friday, 10 Nov 2006 - 17:49 GMT

Last month, I wrote about how the Coolidge Corner theater was screening movies with some science-y themes and then inviting local researchers/academics to give an introduction to the film. An interesting way of bringing science to the masses, I thought.

Well, if you’re free Monday evening, the second movie in the Science on Screen series will be at 7pm on Monday the 13th. It’s called Alphaville. If you dig French surrealism and sci-fi, then this just might be your movie.

The speaker: Sheila Jasanoff, of Harvard’s Kennedy School, a scholar focusing on science as it intersects with law, politics, and democracy.
