Judging from the 100 or so people who came out to the Museum of Science last night for the NNB launch party, I dare say it was a success. There was consistently a small crowd of people around the computer stations we had set up, trying the website out. Yes, we did run into a glitch or two, which we’ve fixed (it’s a beta site!). And the people I talked to all seemed intrigued at least and many were keen to sign up and try it out.

The only disappointment: Willy Lensch, one of our bloggers, didn’t wear his pocket protector! Read his ode to the vaunted symbol of nerd-dom.

You know, I have to save the pocket-protector for just the right moment. It is a relic and someday, I am going to take it to the “Antiques Roadshow” and find out just what it is worth (for insurance purposes only of course). I really enjoyed the event at the MOS!
