DESCRIPTION:This workshop\, in collaboration with the New Hampshire Technic
 al College\, focuses on the topics of fermentation\, cell culture\, separat
 ions and purification. It is designed to explain why and how bioprocessing 
 is able to produce complex protein products starting from simple microorgan
 isms and cells. The course is presented in practical terms and includes man
 y examples that illustrate the basic principles. This is a “hands-on” w
 orkshop\, with a balanced mix of lecture and laboratory practice where part
 icipants can learn the actual handling of bioprocessing equipment represent
 ative of manufacturing conditions. Class size is limited to maximize lab pa
 rticipant interaction with the instructor. \n\n
