Description
Birds are among the most creative homebuilders in the animal world. Every year thousands of species construct a diversity of nests to house their next generation
domed, hanging, underground, and some that are barely perceptible. Eggs, too, exhibit a variety of colors, shapes and sizes. Harvard’s Curator of Ornithology, Scott Edwards, will examine how this amazing diversity evolved and is finely tuned to avian life history, and how our understanding of the reproductive cycle of birds is crucial to conserving endangered species.
