The 12th Annual MassBioEd / MBC golf classic will be held on Friday, September 8, 2006 in Stow, MA at Stow Acres Country Club and Butternut Farms Country Club.
Proceeds benefit selected Massachusetts high schools that plan to implement or strengthen biotechnology in their science programs. In some of these schools, teachers have no lab equipment or supplies, and use only paper and pencils. This fundraising event supports the MBC’s 2010 goals goals and MassBioEd’s mission to enhance biotechnology-related education in Massachusetts for all citizens through school programs, workforce training, and lifelong learning.
In 2005 we raised over $100,000 for Massachusetts schools that teach biotechnology and for the CityLab Program of Boston University School of Medicine, which provides a mobile biotechnology laboratory that travels to area schools to further explore concepts of biotechnology.
