Please can you tell me how you upload your images? I tried for the first time today and it seems that the only way is to post them somewhere else first and then try to link to that page from here. But even that doesn’t seem to be working. What am I doing wrong?!

you are right, you should post the pictures somewhere else, I use Flickr.
The just put the picture’s URL (including the http:// part!) between two exclamantion marks.
I’ve learnt it form here
