      This weekend, our lab was extraordinarily lit.


      No this is not a Hubble Space Telescope image, it is the sky some 20 NW of Brussels.

          These red skies are far more common the past few years than before, and in Heverlee often more spectacular than elsewhere in Flanders.

          While some people think these are countdown signs, I think it has something to do with Brussels, the main approach route for Brussels Airport and fine dust. See also this article in New Scientist.
