      Stumbled across this paper all about a protein called WHAMM that helps move proteins between compartments in mammalian cells.

      Not long afterward I wondered about cognates in various other organisms and the names that might be afforded to mutants of this protein in various contexts, and any associated phenotypic conditions:

      Arabidopsis: CLUB TROPICANA
      Drosophila: careless whisper
      C. elegans: Go-go
      H. sapiens: Michael-Ridgeley Syndrome Type I
