I haven’t blogged for a while – mainly because I can’t decide what I should blog about. The prospect of getting a blues band together here in Norfolk with ace guitarist Martin McCoy ; or about the wonderfulness of my Asus Eee , my new road warrior of a sub-notebook; or about the fact that the Gees, in an effort to lose weight, have acquired a personal fitness trainer called Heidi. (No, not some Swiss dominatrix, but a golden retriever).
But the main reason is to say Good-Bye. Or, perhaps, au revoir. You see, the writing has hit me again, and after packing my novel By The Sea off to my agent (you can still read it care of Jennifer Rohn’s great LabLit site), I have decided to drag out my first novel, an unwieldy SF epic called The Sigil, and give it a tune-up. This will involve a lot of new writing and new characters, and you can read the first few pages here . For those who have read The Sigil in its earlier, draft form – thank you, and I expect you’ll see where this is headed. For those who haven’t, I hope you enjoy it.
See you at Easter!
Good luck with the writing, Henry, and we all hope you can squeeze in at least one or two blog posts before Easter, heavy sigilation notwithstanding…
Thanks Jenny – actually, I don’t think Easter will be long enough. However, I am posting material as I write it here, and soliciting comment, through the Community Forums on your very own LabLit page.
