• Where are the other scientists?

When I look into blogs and other content created by users here it is overwhelmingly biologically related things. Any particular reason for that? Where are the physicists, or mathematicians, or materials scientists and the like.

Obviously the biologists are the real nerds with no social lives. Well, that doesn’t explain the mathematicians, but then little does.

Have you tried clicking on “groups” above, Farhat? When I go around the Network, I see groups in all scientific disciplines, and also groups on “meta” topics such as society, writing, publishing and so on. I don’t know how active the biology groups are compared with the physical sciences, though.
(I am an ex-biophysicist, by the way, so a bit of both…)

Maxine, I know there are others here. What I was wondering was why do biologists (and related) generate so much more content than the others here.
