In my previous blogpost on Swallowing Flies I proposed the hypothesis regarding commenting on scientific articles that “people are waiting, like flies on the wall, to see what everyone else is going to do.”
Another possible subset of people are those that are more interested in watching flies than in commenting on… well anything for that matter. And today I have an offering for this group of people.
The latest addition to our featured protocols is:
‘A method for quantifying aggression in male Drosophila melanogaster’.
It even contains a movie!
Repeated orientation of the attacking male prior to the first attack.
According to our in-house expert, it is more politically (and ethically!) correct to study aggression in flies than it is to put two men in a confined space and watch them fight for attention over a page 3 model!!
I thought your in-house expert was going to be Henry!
