Free Nature Protocols Content
For the rest of the month, all of the protocols from Volume 2 of Nature Protocols are freely available!
To whet your appetite here are three that were added today:
Reprogramming the amino-acid substrate specificity of orthogonal aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases to expand the genetic code of eukaryotic cells
Protocol for preparing proteins with improved solubility by co-expressing with molecular chaperones in Escherichia coli
DMS footprinting of structured RNAs and RNA–protein complexes
One of the really neat features of our site is that you can comment on the protocols. So, if you have a question for the author, or an additional tip that makes the protocol work better in your hands, why not write one?!

Call for Photographs
I am planning a serious of blog posts on an animal theme (perhaps they will be one a day, perhaps not) and I was thinking that it would be nice if I could use photographs taken by people on the Nature Network.
The animals of relevance are: fly, spider, bird, cat, dog goat and horse. Can you see the connection? (big smile)
If you are keen and have a photo, please email it me with a suggested phrase that I can use to acknowledge it by Monday next week.
Photos of fleas also welcome!
Thank you!
