Dear Mom,

This weekend I did something marginally scientific: I dismantled my old camera. I didn’t really deduce how it worked, so perhaps all I did was demonstrate that I am the kind of person who can sit still for 4 hours with a screw driver.

I did, however, gain enormous respect for the machine and the people who designed it. The circuit-boards with their attached wires were exquisitely beautiful. Here are some photos:
