The simple answer is, yes.
I’m thrilled to say my new book Upgrade Me is now allegedly on the shelves. (I say allegedly, as it’s only out in the US so far, so I haven’t seen it.) It looks at the way we’ve gone beyond evolution and improved on the basic human, from simple stuff like clothes to hi-tech stuff like brain implants.
I’ve used the cover to illustrate something else in the past, but here it is again:

It’s not available in the UK until October – you can pre-order it here but I’d recommend using the US site which is here where it’s for sale at a lower price now (shipping costs are quite reasonable).
If you fancy a signed copy, I have some bookplates – drop me an email at info@popularscience.co.uk and I’ll pop one in the post.
Sorry that this is blatant selling, but I’m excited about the new book, and several people have asked me to tell them when it’s available – so consider yourself told.
The Meme of Brian Clegg has penetratd the brain of Gee Minor, who is almost sure she’s seen a book of yours, but can’t place it. Have you written pop-sci books that might in some eldritch realm of phantasmagoric possibility have penetrated the dusty stacks of Cromer Junior School?
I would be surprised Henry – my popular science stuff is aimed at older readers. I have written a science book for primary school teachers – Getting Science – but I’d be surprised if that was on the shelves. I’d be interested to hear any follow-up!
Hmmm … I shall investigate.
Congratulations Brian!
