    • Ripped off by domain name registration swindle

For various bits and pieces I do I have about half a dozen website domain names about my person. (My favourite, which often gets comment is organizingamurder.com)

I have always arranged these through the people who host my website at what I assumed was a standard rate (typically around £50 for 2 years).

But now I discover just how much I’ve been paying over the odds. I wanted to register a new name and my agent pointed out 123-reg – not only did I manage to register a .com for less than half the rate I had been paying, I also registered the .eu, which I wouldn’t normally bother with, but it was 99p. I mean, 99p.

      That’s what I call a bargain.
