I had a great time on Saturday, signing books at the Science Museum bookshop. The staff were very friendly (thanks particularly to Shanaz) and the sweets (space rock, of course) were excellent.

If you’re in London I’d highly recommend nipping down to the Science Museum for those last minute presents. There’s the bookshop where I was (which now has lots of signed copies of Light Years, Global Warming Survival Kit and A Brief History of Infinity) with a vast array of superb science book presents, and there’s the gift shop which again has great ideas.
I was given a surprise Christmas present from there by my agent: a global warming mug. As the drink heats it up, the coastlines gradually disappear. Magic.

What’s more it’s warm, fun and much quieter than Oxford Street. Run, don’t walk, to the Science Museum.
