  for example

  • city planners do it with their eyes shut;
  • bankers do it with interest;
  • probate lawyers do it with a will;
  • microbiologist do it with culture and sensitivity;

  and so on. Or, in Freshers Week, there’d be T-shirts of this form

  Join the x society and perform y [an amusing action], etc. etc.

  e.g.

  • Join the parachute club and fall out with your friends.
